Most of us take for granted how naturally riding a bicycle came to us at an early age. For many children with disabilities, it is a seemingly impossible task they can typically master in less than a week’s time. Within days of learning to ride, many children exhibit independent behaviors for the first time ever. This achievement creates a gateway of opportunity, helping them gain assurance and self-reliance in many other aspects of their lives.

Lose The Training Wheels™ will be holding camp December 20-24 in Scottsdale. The program is more than just bike-riding. Volunteer companion cyclists are needed to assist the children with disabilities. Learning to pedal a two wheel bicycle has many benefits including increasing self esteem and self confidence, inclusion, positive changes in family dynamics, improved quality of life through recreation and Independent transportation.
